Following the release of Google’s Nexus 5 late last year, many are wondering on the future of Google’s line of smartphones and tablets. One thing is for certain and it is the fact that Nexus 6 will be in the final Nexus smartphone.
With that in mind, many tech analysts are wondering on which phone vendor will develop the Nexus 6. IDigitalTimes revealed that popular tech leaker, Eldar Murtazin, hinted on it being Lenovo. The lad revealed his claims via Twitter which got written off by the fans. While Eldar might be spot on with previous speculations, there are many other rumours coming from him which have failed to materialize.
The idea of Lenovo developing the Nexus 6 is unlikely. At least that was how it was until a deal turned official. It appears that Google had sold off Motorola to Lenovo for $2.9billion. This could only mean that the Nexus 6 will be a Lenovo.
If this is the future for the Nexus 6, then consumers can start smiling on the fact that Lenovo will be partnering with Google. Both tech giants are great in their own way. In addition to that, Lenovo will definitely work to provide Android update support.
On top off that, the upcoming Nexus 6 will have a whole new look and features to mark the end of the Nexus line of smartphones. Consumers can expect it to be heavily influenced by the Moto X2. As for the screen size, it should range from 5inches or if it were to follow the Lenovo K900, then we will see the Nexus 6 with at least 5.5inch 1080 Full HD display. The built should have a metal finish to give it that premium feel, much like the HTC One.
The problem with replicating the K900 is the processor. The 2.0GHz Intel Atom Z2580 dual-core processor is simply not good enough and Google should work to change that. Otherwise, expect a powerful Nexus 6 coming soon.
