Motorola came out earlier today to announce that the Moto G2 is going to get the Android 5.1 Lollipop. For months already, G2 users have been kept waiting for the Android 5.0 Lollipop update but the announcement by Motorola confirms that it is not going to happen.
Motorola shared that the Android 5.0 Lollipop is great but the newer Android 5.1 is better. Hence, they have taken the initiatives to launch the Android 5.1 update for the Moto G2 instead of the Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The Android 5.1 that is coming to the Moto G2 comes with a lot of small bug and performance enhancements. The update is expected to arrive somewhere next week and the announcement should give ample time for the G2 users to prepare for the update.
