Motorola Moto E Review: Don’t Use The ‘B’ Word

This latest smartphone has an appearance that closely resembles the Moto G and Moto X. As such, there is not much to discuss in the fashion segment of the device. The only thing that best describe the Moto E’s looks is the irremovable battery and the pebble-shape structure of the phone.

For something that cost £89, you’ll be surprised at the display you’ll be getting. The 4.3” panel offers qHD(540×960) display at 256ppi.

Inside the device, there is the Snapdragon 200 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with 1GB RAM, Adreno 302 GPU and 4GB internal storage. Of course, that is expandable to 32GB via a microSD card.

The downside is that users can’t take part in the selfie movement with the Moto E as it does not have a front facing camera. There is only a basic 5MP rear shooter to toy with.

Nevertheless, the Moto E remains up to date with it running on the Android 4.4 KiKat OS. Motorola even revealed that it will get one update and that is the Android 4.4.3 KitKat in the future.

Everything about the Moto E is simple and consumers can consider it to be a starter smartphone. On the other hand, the price is not justified as the Moto E offers a lot more than what its price tag says. Consider it a steal.
