The physical keyboard trend on a smartphone has died quite some time ago when many phone manufacturers opted for full touchscreen. However, its appeal lives on as fans kept on hoping for the keyboard slider to return.
Last fans got were the Motorola DROID 4 and if there is any chance for the physical slider to return, it is with a Motorola DROID 5. Now, rumours have surfaced suggesting that the latter is in production. Then again, this is nothing new as last year; the rumours indicated something similar but failed to turn fruitful.
With the new speculations restoring the hype, fans have been out and about in suggesting what they wish to see in the upcoming DROID 5. Aside from an updated hardware, fans would love it If the DROID 5 is sized like the DROID 2. The DROID 4 is simply too big for their liking.
Of course, this will all be clarified further in next year’s MWC or CTIA. After all, those are the events that are teased to be the stage for the DROID 5’s launching.
