It has been years since the world witnessed a smartphone that features a physical slider keyboard and there is a section in the public that are hoping for the trend to return. It seems that Motorola is the only brand that is capable of producing such as they have been doing so with the DROID devices.
Last we saw a physical keyboard slider on a smartphone is on the DROID 4 and that is a long time ago. Now, fans of the feature are hoping for Motorola to create the DROID 5. They also wish for the latter to come with all the latest mobile hardwares while also being sized appropriately. After all, the DROID 4 is actually too big and bulky for their liking.
On the bright side of things, new rumours have surfaced suggesting that the DROID 5 is in production. The smartphone will come with a physical keyboard slider and will be making its debut at either next year’s MWC or CTIA.
Then again, it is still just a rumour and is best taken with a pinch of salt. If there is to be a DROID 5 smartphone, Motorola will surely tease the fans about it like how they did with the Moto smartwatch.
