The Motorola Moto G might be an above average smartphone from 2013 but will still be getting the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. This was confirmed by the phone manufacturer earlier today after the worries shown by Moto G users on not receiving the Android 5.0 Lollipop.
In the announcement, Motorola revealed that the Moto G has sufficient RAM speed and processor speed to run on the latest mobile OS from Google. However, the smartphone will get the update at a later date, due to Motorola’s method to release the Lollipop from newer devices to older devices.
While no specific period was mentioned, it is believed that the Android 5.0 Lollipop will be pushed out before February next year. Obviously, the update will start with the second generation Moto X before reaching out to the Moto G and other Motorola phones.
