More Revealed About The 2017 Opel Monza Concept

Everyone was amazed last year when Opal’s Monza Concept was shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The concept included a shooting brake body style. The car came equipped with an electric drive together with a 1.0 liter 3 cylinder turbocharged engine CNG range extender.

It appears that some of the features from the concept will be going into development. We are not talking about the vehicle itself here, but the name of it. A announcement that came from Germany informed us that Opel plan to use the name Monza for the large Suv which they intend to bring onto the market at a later date.

Production on the large SUV has been said to start in 2017 and will come at a cost of $35,906. The SUV which Opel said would be developed in their Russelsheim plant may end up being the Monza.

The chrome grille and the headlights as well as some of the styling from the concept will be used for the SUV. The car’s engine will be provided by Insignia.
