Minecraft is not an ordinary game. The world of blocks is so open and different that just about anything can be added into it. We have seen how World of Warcraft and USS Voyager were integrated into Minecraft. Now, there is Ironfall.
This latest addition is based on the brand new FPS IP, Titanfall. The developers revealed that they are so in love with Titanfall which resulted in the creation of Ironfall. So how does it work?
In Minecraft, Ironfall works much like an Attrition match in Titanfall. A maximum of 16 players gets divided into two teams. Both teams have to kill each other with one point, rewarded for each kill. The first team to achieve 100 points wins the game.
The awesome comes when the players calls out their golems. In Titanfall, golems are a mechanical tool that offers bigger firepower. However, this comes at the cost of mobility. It is also vulnerable to anti-golem weapons like rocket launchers.
Normally, Minecraft insert other worlds in the form of maps or skins. Titanfall came as a surprise as it also offers one of the best game modes to try.
The mod might still be too early to live up to its potential. The developers are surely aware of these. As such, it is important to see its prospect and look forward into the near future. Pilots will be taking over Minecraft.
