Minecraft PS3 & PS4 Release In Doubts After Microsoft Takeover!

It is no secret that Mojang’s 4J Studios is developing Minecraft for the next-gen consoles, the Xbox One and the PS4. However, things don’t look to well for the PS4 gamers as Microsoft about to acquire the Minecraft entirely.

Business insiders have revealed that Microsoft is buying out Mojang for a fee of $2 billion. Such news has raised doubts on the status of Minecraft for PS4. With Sony’s latest console doubling the Xbox One’s sales, Microsoft could just use Minecraft to level the competition.

It is unsure on which party initiated the business deal. Some rumours suggested that it was Mojang’s Markus Persson that is selling away the company to Microsoft. Other rumours suggest that the lad will still manage Mojang, but under the guidance of Microsoft.

While there is no clear evidence on the takeover to happen, the fact that both Mojang and Microsoft are close buddies hints that it will occur.

PS4 gamers shouldn’t worry much as Microsoft won’t halt Minecraft’s release for the console. As much as they would love to do so, preventing Minecraft from becoming a cross-platform will be more of a loss than a gain for the American company.
