It looks like Minecraft fans might finally be able to explore the pixelated world with the Oculus Rift as Mojang confirms the game and its possibly release window.
According to Tommaso Checchi, they still do not know when the game will be released yet but at this point, he is confident that it is just a matter of days which means we could be playing the Minecraft game with the Oculus Rift anytime now.
He also reveals that they were supposed to start working back in 2014 but the plan changed when Facebook bought over Oculus. Microsoft later acquired Mojang and the VR plan continued from there. He also added that the original plan was to release it this June but they missed the dateline.
Those looking to play the VR version of Minecraft will have to download the beta version of the game which should be free on Windows if you already own the game and also have a PC that is powerful enough to support the Oculus Rift.
