Microsoft will be issuing a recall to recall back the power cords sold with the Microsoft Surface Pro. Both the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and Microsoft Surface Pro 2 will be affected by the recall.
According to Microsoft, the power cord provided with the Surface Pro 3 and 2 have the tendency to overheat and in some case catch fire. It is believed that there are already about 56 complaints made about the AC cords.
Additionally, there were also five reports where the consumers were shocked by the AC cords. Those affected will be getting a new AC cord for free.
Not only will Microsoft be issuing a recall for the Surface Pro 3 and 2 but they will also be recalling the AC cord that was sold separately. The affected cord will be those sold before the 15th fo March last year.
