The smartphone manufacturers won’t tell you this but the fact is that most smartphone will only last about 2 to 3 years before the users will want to upgrade it but with this concept, the smartphone might be able to last a little bit longer.
One of the most common updates we see on smartphones is the processor and the camera. So if you can upgrade the camera on its own, will the smartphone last longer?
The concept seen here called the Microsoft Surface Phone Concept Revision 3 was designed by artist Jonas Daehnert who think that the Microsoft Surface Phone should come with a camera unit that can be removed and upgraded.
We have already seen the new Project Ara that Google has been working on so the idea itself is not too outrageous. The biggest question would be whether Microsoft plans to release a Microsoft Surface Phone or not.
