In general, a smartphone will only last for 2 or 3 years so if what the artist propose here does come true, the camera unit of the Microsoft Surface Phone will definitely outlive the smartphone.
The concept design you see here was designed by artist Jonas Daehnert. Called the Microsoft Surface Phone Concept Revision 3, the concept will come with a detachable camera unit that can be upgraded if wanted.
The reason it is called Revision 3 is because the concept is based on a previous concept rendering that the same artist came out with. Most of the concept design remains the same except for the camera unit.
As of now, nobody really knows if Microsoft has any plans to release a Microsoft Surface Phone in the near future but if they do, what would you like to see the Surface Phone offer?
