Microsoft Rains On Andre’s Xbox One Parade

Microsoft Xbox One distributor, Target, has made a grave error in shipping out the first batch of its console to the public. The Xbox One is queued for release this 22nd November and a group of people manage to get their hands on the console earlier.

Microsoft immediate response to the incident is remotely banning the gaming machine from entering Xbox Live to prevent these players from getting a head start. One particular lucky person to receive the package is 18 year-old Andre Weingarten. Andre was so happy upon receiving the console that a video was shot on the un-boxing and posted on Youtube.

Andre, better known as Moonlight Swami on his Twitter account, quickly loads a game to test it out. Within a few hours, a message was displayed quoting “Your console has been banned for terms of use violations.” Microsoft was able to track down the consoles and banned it from any further usage.

Not only that, the Youtube video posted by Swami got removed by the technology giant claiming it to be copyright infringement. The video however achieved over 8000 views in less than 2 hours confirming the popularity of the Xbox One.

Microsoft is expected to look into this mistake and take the necessary steps to punish those involved. Target will be held responsible of course, but no announcement has been made to how it happened.

Another notable person who got the Xbox One prematurely is known as ‘priceless 228’, based on his eBay account. He is selling away his unopened device from $999 in a move to raise funds to create products for special education students. Before he could cement a deal, Microsoft got the page removed.

All those who have got themselves banned need not worry much since it is expected to be lifted on the official release date of the Xbox One. In just 2 weeks time, we will definitely see for sure on how the Xbox One actually perform in live market.
