The Apple iOS 7.1.2 has successfully become the worst nightmare for the jailbreak society. Many jailbreak iPhone users have found themselves trapped on the iOS 7.1.2 as there is no jailbreak for the system coming. The only known option is to wait until Evad3rs produce the iOS 8 jailbreak.
However, there is another way out of the iOS 7.1.2. One of our readers shared that he managed to revert from the iOS 7.1.2 to the old iOS 7.0.4 with the aid of iTunes. The lad revealed that he uses a 64GB iPhone 5S bought from Verizon, iTunes 11.2.2(3) and OSX 10.9.2.
The process is a rather simple one. First, users have to plug in their device to a computer and run iTunes. The software should automatically indicate the smartphone’s profile. At that same page, users should be able to spot a restore backup option.
Click on the latter and a list of previously made backup should populate the screen. Select the iOS 7.0.4 and commence the installation. Upon completion, the iPhone should restart into the old system. If users find their iPhone with a messed up files and folders, they can fix it through installing the iPhone Backup Extractor.
With the iPhone running on the iOS 7.0.4, users can then perform the jailbreak and start enjoying the Cydia apps that comes with it.
