Most automakers are scrambling to get their cars to work with either the new Apple CarPlay, Android Auto or both. The latest to hop on the wagon is Mercedes and Kia.
Mercedes-Benz models that will be getting the Android Auto upgrade will include the 2017 Mercedes-Benz A-Class, B-Class, CLA Coupe, CLA Shooting Brake, GLA, E-Class Wagon, E-Class Coupe, as well as the E-Class Cabriolet.
Kia models that will be getting the Android Auto upgrade will be the 2017 Kia Sorento, Soul EV, Soul, Sedona, Optima Plug-in Hybrid, Optima Hybrid, and Forte. While Mercedes’s main focus right now is the 2017 model, Kia has not forgotten about some of their older models as well. The 2016 Sorento, 2016- 2015 Soul EV, Sedona, Optima Plugin Hybrid, Optima Hybrid, 2015 Optima and the 2014 -2016 Soul will also be given the Android Auto upgrade as well.
It is nice to see that even Kia is catching up while automakers like Toyota and Ford are still behind.
