Mazda will be issuing two recalls that will affect their Mazda 3, Mazda CX-3 as well as Mazda CX-5 worldwide although one of the recall will only affect cars in Japan.
According to Mazda, the 2014-2016 Mazda 3, CX-3 and CX-5 in Japan will have to be recalled after its was discovered that the chip used in the engine of those models might cause the engine to stop without warning. A total of 117,030 units will be affected by this recall.
The other recall will affect models from 2007 to 2015. According to the report, the faulty paint job on the rear doors of the affected models will cause the hydraulic arm to rust and breakdown.
Before these were announced, Mazda also issued a recall in the US to recall 1.3million units of their vehicles after the issue with the ignition switch overheating was brought up.
