More and more games are making the transition to becoming an open world game now but it looks like Mass Effect: Andromeda will stick to its path as Micheal Gamble confirm that it will not be an open world game.
According to game producer Michael Gamble, Andromeda can’t be called an open-world game but he is not ready to label it as a linear game either. Instead, he describes the game as being an exploration-based game.
He explains that players will be able to explore some of the planets around Nomad but don’t expect it to be a “traditional sandbox-type game”. The developers did add that they took a few pointers from The Witcher 3 when they were working on the side quest so many we won’t see anymore side quest that outshines the main quest this time aorund.
The new Mass Effect: Andromeda will be arriving on the 21st of March for the Xbox One, PC as well as Playstation 4.
