BioWare has bathed itself in the limelight with the development of both Mass Effect 4 and Dragon Age 3. These two highly anticipated titles will the biggest in their respective series.
Since they will be released to the next-gen consoles, BioWare made it well known that they will run on the latest Frostbite game engine. However, the game developer is probably kicking themselves right now after a major blunder from the Frostbite team.
The developers of the game engine certainly did a self-defamation after an April Fool’s joke went wrong. An individual who have access to the official Twitter account for Frostbite attempted a joke that is more hurtful than funny.
Today, the Tweet has been removed but the following quotes are already jotted down.
• Frostbite now runs on the #WiiU since it is the most powerful Gen4 platform, our renderer is now optimized for Mario and Zelda.
• Frostbite will power #HalfLife3, coming out summer 2014! #WiiU exclusive.
• Good news, we have finally fixed and optimized our ‘netcode’. Uses quantum entanglement for Zero Latency connections. Exclusively on #WiiU.
We all know that Wii U is underperforming and so is the powerful titles like Mario and Zelda but there are no need to take a hit at them.
This is more of an embarrassment rather than a good a joke. Nevertheless, what’s done is done. EA wouldn’t be too happy about the actions of its sub-division team. After all, the game publisher has been named worst company in America multiple times already.
