Mass Effect 4 Movie May Not Have Same Standards As WOW

Film adaptations on video games can either be a major success or an epic failure. Most of the time, the films ended up in the latter. This could be due to the film developer, trying to tap on the popularity of the game.

Today, Legendary Pictures are currently producing two films based on video games. One is the Mass Effect movie while the other is Warcraft. It can be confusing as the Mass Effect movie has been on the table for so long now and the film maker is focusing on the fresh project, Warcraft.

Legendary Pictures revealed on an interview with IGN that this was due to the rich content in Warcraft. Legendary CEO, Thomas Tull, said that Blizzard has like a hundred books that tell a real and deep story behind the races and characters in the game. The structure is already built and the stories are being tapped on which made it easier.

As for the Mass Effect movie, Tull revealed that the series is more sprawling and complex compared to Warcraft. Tull has no interest in making Commander Shepard look bad by just coming up with an epic story. It will be unoriginal and the movie won’t be 100% Mass Effect. As such, the project is put on hold until a brilliant idea pops up.

The Mass Effect movie is the biggest challenge for Tull. After all, the CEO is a Mass Effect gamer himself. The lad added that Mass Effect is very broad and nothing much is fixed. If it was, then there movie will be out already.

All in all, both films are expected to be among the best game-adaptation movies yet. It will be produced by Legendary Pictures, which rarely disappoints the viewers. Until more progress is made on the development, fans will just have to wait for the films.
