Bioware’s general manager, Aaryn Flynn, felt that it is not right to reveal everything all at once. The game developer would rather spread out the reveals through the developer’s diaries. Any technical progress made will be shared on Bioware’s official blog.
It is also confirmed that Mass Effect 4 started production in 2012 and the old protagonist, Commander Shepard, has been axed. The upcoming fourth sequel will be focused on a new protagonist on a fresh adventure, in the same Mass Effect universe.
Aside from that, Mass Effect 4 will be running on the latest Frostbite 3 game engine. At the current rate of progress, the game is expected to make its full debut in 2015.
