When it comes to Mass Effect 4, nobody has an idea on how the game will turn out to be. The fourth title coming to the Mass Effect franchise will commence a fresh new start to a whole new trilogy surrounding a protagonist that is not Shepard.
As a result, fans have been busy writing up their rendition of Mass Effect 4 and there are a few notable stories that can be a game on its own. Nevertheless, most fans want Mass Effect 4 to offer a much darker storyline.
If the story were to be set after the Reaper Wars, there would be a social unrest in the universe. This would bring a politically or criminal based game.
On another note, there won’t be much wrong if Mass Effect 4 takes place far into the future. This will make adding more races into the game much easier. As for the story, a Firefly scenario would definitely deliver where a crew of outcast and misfits escaped to start an adventure.
There is also an idea for the game to be based on a single world. This way, it will be way more personal and emotional. Heck, it could even replicate Kindergarten cop where the protagonist lost his child to kidnappers as he space travel to search for him/her.
No matter what it will be, all the fans want is for Bioware to deliver instead of making a B grade game.
