The ending of a game’s storyline plays an important role in providing an overall satisfaction to gamers. A poor ending will only open doors to complain and criticism. One known title that exhibits such a characteristic is the Mass Effect 3.
While Mass Effect 3 have a choice-based ending, both of it disappoints. Now the successor, Mass Effect 4 is already in development and bound for a release soon. Bad news is that Mass Effect 3 won’t get the ending they deserve since the upcoming sequel will have nothing to do with Shepard.
That is right. The main character to the trilogy is getting his retirement funds right now. Mass Effect 4 will begin a totally new storyline while maintaining the Mass Effect gameplay and environments.
So Shepard left the entire franchise with nothing but pure sadness and disappointment. In spite of that, we can still hope that the successor Mass Effect 4 will at least get a great ending.
