EA Sports along with ESPN held the 4th annual Madden NFL Cover Vote. 16 of the latest NFL starts took part and they battled it out in a fan tournament to choose who would be on the cover of Madden NFL 15.
Within four weeks of the competition and more than 9.6 million fans voting it came down to Carolina Panthers quarterback, Cam Newton and Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman. Sherman went on to beat Newton and it was that that was who would be on the cover. This was then announced on ESPN Sports Center.
“Richard Sherman is a fantastic cover athlete selection by the fans,” said Anthony Stevenson, Vice President of Global Marketing for EA SPORTS. “Defense is a big focus for Madden NFL 15, and Sherman is one of the brightest defensive stars in the NFL. He shares the same energy and passion for the game as our ‘legion’ of Madden fans.”
All that was left was for Sherman to have his photo taken to feature on the cover of Madden. Sherman then went rushing to get the magazine made from EA Sports.
When undertaking the photo shoot everything had to be just perfect, the look, the posture and the atmosphere. EA Sports have finally launched the cover with Richard Sherman on the front.
