If the autopilot is the future of the automobile industry, flexible screens seem to be the future for smartphones and it looks like Samsung and LG might be heading that way this year.
Both Samsung and LG have offered smartphones with curved displays in the past but it is believed that this year, both manufacturers are looking to offer a foldable device. It has been reported that Samsung will be launching their foldable device in the third quarter while LG will be offering theirs in the fourth quarter.
However, according to The Korea Herald, Samsung might have to delay their release so we might see these two manufacturers face each other head on in the fourth quarter of the year.
There were also talk about LG looking to offer out their tech to the other smartphone manufacturer so we might see more of the foldable smartphone in the near future.
