Google has recently rolled out its Nexus 5 smartphone along with the latest Android version 4.4 KitKat. The company is the creator of both the Nexus and Android. It is indeed worrying to learn that the existing Nexus devices have yet to get the OS update.
Rumours and speculations have been surfacing citing that Google is actually tweaking the update for the previous Nexus to make it compatible for the update. Just from this we can expect a handful of features being either discarded or being modified to cater these devices.
The Nexus 4, 7 and 10 users are in a nail-biting situation since the longer they wait for the update to be released, the higher the chances of it not being the same kind. It is highly possible that these devices will provide a much different user experience compared to the native KitKat on the latest Nexus 5.
While everything mentioned here might be highly possible, do take it with a grain of salt. We have yet to find out if the update will be a positive one or be more of a problem for the users.
