The iPhone 6 and the LG G4 both offer superb displays, great performance and come with good cameras but is the LG G4 an iPhone killer?
The LG G4 features a design that is curved and it is 9.8mm in thickness with a plastic edge and a back that is removable. The iPhone 6 is 6.9mm and comes with in aluminium and for looks it may just beat the LG.
The display of the LG G4 is IPS Quantum offering 538ppi and 2560 x 1440 at 5.5 inches. The display offered on the iPhone 6 is IPS LCD offering 326ppu and 133 x 750 at 4.7 inches. This means that the LG display is bigger than that offered by Apple but it can still be held comfortably in hand due to the bezels being thin.
The LG G4 offers the Snapdragon 808 processor and this is 1.8GHz dual core and is backed by 3GB of RAM. The iPhone 6 has the dual core 64 bit A8 processor and 1GB of RAM.
The LG G4 is only available with 32GB of storage while you can choose between 16GB, 64GB and 128GB of storage with the iPhone 6. The LG also supports expansion via SD card which the iPhone doesn’t.
With the LG G4 you get Android 5.1 Lollipop and with the iPhone 6 it is iOS 8.3. This is going to be a matter of choice and it depends what your thoughts are on the two operating systems as to which device is the best.
The LG G4 camera is a 16MP and it offers support for OIS and the iPhone 6 has a camera of 8MP with dual LED, TrueTone flash and phase detection. Battery life on the two handsets is 3000mAh for the LG and 1810mAh on the iPhone. It will take around 2 hours to fully charge the batteries on both handsets to full.
The Apple iPhone 6 does offer a design that is better looking than the LG G4 but again this is going to be down to personal taste. Both of the handsets are stunning and each are worthy of being called the best in their own rights.
