Gone are the days where South Korean tech developers are labelled as copycats, now that they have become pioneers in the industry.
Ever since Samsung introduced the ‘Edge’ side-curved display technology, LG has been reported to be working on a transparent screen to compete with their home rivals.
For those who do not know what transparent display means, it is a form of technology that can create a picture from an empty sheet of glass. In addition to that, the image produced can be seen through like looking past a window.
A senior official from LG revealed that they have already come up with a fully functional transparent display and even if it is a prototype, the technology is not far from becoming mainstream.
Then again, the lad shared that “it will take time until the product becomes commercialized due to mass production according to demand and stable supply.”
