2014 is fast approaching an end and it leaves us with many great smartphone to choose from. Among them is the LG G3 and the Samsung Galaxy S5. Both flagship devices from South Korea are amazing in every way but which is better?
In terms of display, the S5 comes with a 5.1” screen that offers 432ppi. The G3 arrived with a larger 5.5” display and is also sharper as it develops a whopping 538ppi. Then again, the G3’s larger screen means that its 3,000mAh battery drains faster than the S5’s 2,800mAh battery.
Both smartphones are powered by the same 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330 GPU. Even so, the G3 is slightly faster as it comes with 3GB of RAM. The S5 only has 2GB of RAM to speak of.
Then again, the S5 reclaims the lead as it offers a splendid 16MP rear camera. This is sharper than the 13MP rear camera on the G3. Both smartphones have the same 2.1MP front camera to offer.
When it comes to storage space, both the G3 and the S5 have microSD support of up to 128GB. However, the G3 has got more to offer as it comes with 32GB of internal memory. The S5 only has 16GB of internal memory to share.
Of course, storage space and revolutionary display is not enough to prevent us from naming the S5 as the champion in this contest. This is due to the fact that the latter has so many features and functions to offer. This includes being dustproof, waterproof, being able to turbo download, energy efficient mode and many more.
However, it is worth considering that the Samsung Galaxy S5 is also more expensive. The smartphone retails at $649 while the LG G3 retails at $574 with contract. Nevertheless, we find the S5 as the top smartphone around.
