Rumours are rife in indicating that the LG G3 won’t be receiving the Android 5.1 Lollipop update at all. The word is that LG has no plans to roll out the Android 5.1 OS for the G3 at all. This is surprising really since LG is already offering the G4 with Android 5.1 on-board.
If the rumours are spot on, then the only possible explanation for it is the Android M. The next-gen OS, which is tentatively known as Android Marshmallow, will be making its debut somewhere Q4 this year.
Perhaps LG is lining up the Android M for the G3 since we are already near the OS’ official release day. If that is the case, it further confirms that the LG G3 will never receive Android 5.1 Lollipop at all.
