LG G2 users on the Verizon network can now skip the wait and get themselves the highly anticipated Android 4.4.3 update. However, it is important to note that the OS is not and official one and some knowledge in ADB is required to perform the update.
If you fit every criterion and own the G2 from Verizon, then read on for a brief highlight on how to update your device.
First and foremost, the ROM that has the build number VS98012B, will have to be downloaded. Once done, users will have to ensure that their G2 are rooted before proceeding any further. We highly recommend Autoprime as the root source.
Then, download the bin file and rename it before placing it in a specific folder. Do note that the folder should be in the G2, not the PC.
Now, key in the ADB codes accordingly and the LG G2 should restart upon completion. Once it is booted up, you should see the Android 4.4.3 in effect.
To cap things off, users who have no experience whatsoever with rooting a smartphone should lay off this opportunity. We don’t want anyone to spoil their G2.
