The LG G2 might be an aging device but it is still able to stay relevant thanks to the consistent software update it receives from the Korean tech firm. Soon, the G2 will get its final update and it will be the Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Well, G2 users don’t have to wait any longer as they can already enjoy the Lollipop now. This is possible thanks to XDA’s Rashed97, who had just launched a custom ROM containing the Lollipop. The custom ROM is specifically developed for the LG D800, D801, D802, LS980, and VS980 models.
Of course, G2 users should note that there are some minor issues with the Lollipop OS since it is in its early build. The good news is that the issues are limited to the GPS and video playback functions. As for the LS980 and VS980 models, they have an added issue that involves the cellular network.
So, if you’re an LG G2 user and wish to get treated to the Android 5.0 Lollipop now, then you can head out to XDA’s website and download the custom ROM. Upon doing so, you can check out the installation procedure below.
