LG G2 users that are waiting for the Android 5.0 Lollipop update can now skip the wait and apply the update manually. This is made possible after XDA’s Rashed97 launched a custom ROM containing the Android 5.0 Lollipop specifically for the LG G2 D800, D801, D802, LS980 and VS980 variants.
Of course, this also means that users will have to get their hands dirty as they need to comply with the installation instructions to ensure proper installation of the Android 5.0 Lollipop on the LG G2. On the upside of things, we have got the guide below.
Then again, it is worth noting that the custom ROM is still in its early build so there are some issues with it. At the moment, the problem with the custom ROM involves the video playback and GPS features. As for the LS980 and VS980, they have an added issue with the cellular network.
Aside from that, everything else works fine with the custom ROM. For better assurance, Rashed97 promised that he will update the Lollipop OS in the future and free it of any issues. So if you are a G2 user and wish to get a feel of the Android 5.0 Lollipop, you can check out the following guide.
