About two months ago, we shared to every LG G2 users that they can already update to the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop but this is can only be done the unorthodox way and that is via XDA.
For those that are still waiting for the official version of the Lollipop, we have some good news. The Android 5.0.1 for the G2 has finally been confirmed, although not in a verbal manner.
LG was showing off the all-new Android 5.0.1 OS for the LG G3 last week and after some careful research, the Lollipop display actually belongs to a G2 device. This is followed by another leaked screenshot which shows that the OS comes with the build number LRX21Y.
When the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop gets rolled out for the LG G2, it will also bring along its design language to the smartphone. All that is left is for LG to actually give us a scope on when the update will commence.
