Yesterday during the Google I/O conference, we saw plenty of smartwatches being demonstrated by their respective manufacturers. Among them is the LG G Watch which got itself a super-crowded booth. If you have no idea what the G Watch is, then check out our take on it.
The LG G Watch is the very first smartwatch to come from the Korean company. It has a square display that is interactive with its users. Heck, it doesn’t look different to the highly anticipated Motorola Moto 360.
The display offers 280x280p resolution and the G Watch comes in black, white, brown and stainless steel. Also, the G Watch is adequately sized to fit the smaller wrist folks.
The smartwatch is powered by a 400mAh battery that can keep it on standby for up to 36hours. By standby, the screen is always on and it is well-lit. With that in mind, the standby time recorded is a truly amazing one.
The G Watch has a sensor that whenever the user raises their hands, the device will be fully active. This means that the screen will automatically increase in brightness as it becomes operational.
Other features include a microphone that functions with Google Now, a music player, full touchscreen control and it has no physical buttons at all. The LG G Watch is now retailing for $225 on the Google Play Store and consumers can make their purchase there.
