It seems that Koreans and quality don’t match well. It is no secret that Samsung devices lack the quality despite coming with the best specs and now, we learned that the LG also belong in the same bracket.
Just recently, the Korean electronic company launched its very first smartwatch, the G Watch. This latest device achieved a lot of sales after it got released and now, those cheers have turned into complains.
It appears that the G Watch has a major design flaw that can hurt the owner. A handful of G Watch have been reported to have developed discoloration and residue buildup on the terminal pins located on the back.
The metal pins basically cause irritation on the wrist of the user due to the chemical reaction that is brought from the device’s battery. Tech experts called it galvanic corrosion which is the effect of electronic passing through two different metals. If this comes into contact with the user’s skin, it can cause some mild burns.
LG is aware of the mess they are in and hence, announced that it will be rolling out a maintenance release in the coming days to fix the issue. The update will be pushed out OTA. Also, LG apologized for the inconvenience the G Watch has caused.
