LG has been collaborating with Google over the past few years in developing the Nexus phone. Despite having such a close relationship with the US tech giant, LG has delayed the Android 4.4 KitKat for its range of smartphones.
It was supposed to arrive late last month to the LG G2. It is almost one week into February and there is still no sign of the Android 4.4 Kitkat coming to the device. The only LG folks that are happy, are the Koreans. Korean LG users have already got their hands on the KitKat as the world watches in envy.
It could be that the Korean-based phone vendor would want a perfect setting to roll out the Android 4.4 KitKat. Many tech analysts hinted that Mobile World Congress 2014 will be the ideal place for LG to roll out the KitKat.
Besides, LG has already promised its users that they will receive the KitKat. The company even added that they won’t make the stop on Android 4.3 and simple skips ahead to the Android 4.4.
Future LG phones will automatically feature the 4.4 Android upgrade. Fans might be disappointed with this delay but are clearly hoping for LG to come through with their promises. It will only be a matter of time before we see most of LG’s device getting the Android 4.4 update.
