Both the Nexus 5 and the Nexus 7 from Google had just been updated to the Android 5.0.2. However, the update has failed to improve the Android user experience and it ended up with more problems on both the smartphone and the tablet.
Heck, the issue is so huge that applying the update will deem the Nexus 5 and 7 unusable. This is because Android 5.0.2 actually bricked the devices, hence, disallowing them from starting up at all.
To make things worse, both Google and ASUS have yet to respond to the queries of the users. This is worrying as Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 users are at risk of having to purchase a replacement device.
Then again, the issue does not affect every Nexus 5 and 7 units but to be on the safe side, users are to stay away from the Android 5.0.2 update. The issue is confirmed to be a software problem and it is pending to get resolved by the responsible parties.
