The last time Bioware spoke of Mass Effect 4, they claim that the future sequel will be nothing like Dragon Age Inquisition despite the fact that both the Mass Effect series and Dragon Age series share a lot of similarities with each other.
This is why it is surprising when Bioware revealed earlier today that Mass Effect 4 will be coming with an online mode. Such a feature was first introduced on Dragon Age Inquisition and it totally contradicts to Bioware previous statement on Mass Effect 4.
For us, we don’t really expect Mass Effect 4 to be very different from Dragon Age Inquisition. After all, both franchises shared a lot of same features in the past and the only difference between them is that one is built in a fantasy world while the other is developed in the realm of sci-fi.
Of course, we could be wrong and there is a chance for Mass Effect 4 to start on its own exclusive gaming identity instead of being paired together with Dragon Age Inquisition.
