For a start, the update will allow the users to enjoy cloud printing features. Then there is that security enhancements which will protect the data on the HTC One. Other additions include Blinkfeed update, Bluetooth Profiles and Sense5.5. On the downside, the update failed to fix the purple tint issue on the HTC One’s camera.
Nevertheless, Canadian telcos like Bell, Wind, Virgin, Rogers and SaskTel are all rolling out the update to their respective HTC One. The same is happening in the US as the HTC One is being updated by Sprint, T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon. The US update is synchronized to the International update as well.
The KitKat won’t be stopping at the HTC One. After the device is done and dealt with, the KitKat will be coming over to the HTC One X.
Back to the coloured camera issue, it seems that the problem is with the hardware. If not, then the update should have fixed it. As such, those encountering the problem should head down to the nearest HTC support centers. Meanwhile, the only remedy is with tweaking the contrast and saturation for the camera.
