The remake to Kingdom Hearts 2 was promised to be in the works by the game developer and fans who are waiting for it are worried since no news whatsoever has surfaced on the subject. Some fans even speculated that the 2.5 Remix has been cancelled.
This was the common mindset until Square Enix unveiled their financial results for Q1 this year. On the report, gamers should be able to notice Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix listed there as pending for release. The title in the works will be arriving in 2014. It gets more assuring as the platform column stated PS3. If it is to be Kingdom Hearts 3, the information should be stated as cross-platform.
To cap things off, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix is still active in production. It is just that the limelight is stolen by the upcoming third sequel. Square Enix should know better that the best way to start Kingdom Hearts 3 is only after players have refreshed themselves with the second sequel remake.
