It seems that most games today are built with an added multiplayer online mode. Massive single player franchises like Dragon Age and GTA have picked up the trend, and this leaves a big question mark on whether Kingdom Hearts 3 will follow suit.
For us, we would personally prefer it if Kingdom Hearts 3 sticks to tradition and forget about the multiplayer mode entirely. However, if Square Enix sees a need for Kingdom Hearts 3 to come with MMO mode, then we are hoping for it to get modelled after Marvel Ultimate Alliance.
In detail, four players will perhaps get mated to each other with each one of them controlling a separate main character. If there are more characters to choose from, the player can switch to them at any checkpoints in Kingdom Hearts 3.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance is simply the perfect model and since it is now owned by Disney, Kingdom Hearts 3 can absorb the feature entirely without any issues. Heck, this can also introduce a multiplayer offline mode too.
However the outcome may be, we are hoping that the multiplayer option is not forced in Kingdom Hearts 3 and will appear as a separate mode instead. That way, players will still get the privilege of spending some alone time with Sora and the gang.
