It is no secret that Square Enix is producing Kingdom Hearts 3 and the highly anticipated title is due to make its debut next year. While no specific dates were given out yet, we can already tell that it is nearby through the many trailers on the game that are available for viewing.
These series of short teaser clips are not just to build the hype up. Instead, they are considered as clues to what is coming in Kingdom Hearts 3. Today, we are going to share what we’ve discovered from viewing the game’s trailers.
For starters, the trailer that was unveiled at E3 this year is confirmed by the game’s producer to be the opening scenes in Kingdom Hearts 3. Also, the game will be running on Unreal Engine 4, like how it was revealed by Square Enix last month. In addition to that, both Sora and Riku will come with a new outfit to show that they have matured over the years.
As for the plot, the trailers confirmed that Sora, Donald and Goofy will be on an adventure to search for the seven guardians of light and the Key to Return Hearts. Miki and Riku, on the other hand, will be searching for prior Keyblade welders. The game will conclude with a final battle between Sora and the villain, Lord Xenahort.
The combat system too will be upgraded. One trailer shows that the Keyblade can transform into guns. This also hints on other transformation models.
At the moment, these are the only information that we can pick out from the trailer. Before we forget, Kingdom Hearts 3 will be retailing on the PS4 and the Xbox One.
