Ever since Square Enix announced the development of Kingdom Hearts 2.5 and Kingdom Hearts 3, all the attention has been on the latter. This isn’t surprising as Kingdom Hearts 2.5 is merely a remake of the old Kingdom Hearts 2.
Kingdom Hearts 3 will see the end of Lord Xenahort and that reason is enough to get all excited for it. However, it is important to note that all the news, rumours and speculations has been about the third sequel instead of the remake. Even online retailers are already taking in pre-orders for Kingdom Hearts 3, not 2.5.
This is worrying as it somehow suggests that Kingdom Hearts 2.5 has been cancelled. Square Enix needs to come out from the box and address the game accordingly because it is as important as Kingdom Hearts 3. There is no better way to play the third sequel than to replay Kingdom Hearts 2.5. It simply pumps the adrenaline and hit the refresh button for the payers.
On the bright side of things, E3 is right around the corner and Square Enix will surely give an update on Kingdom Hearts 2.5. Until then, fans will just have to sit back and wait.
