The results of the J.D Power Initial Quality Study has just been released and to the surprise of everybody, Kia, and their Kia Soul made it to the top of the list beating out brands like Porsche.
Kia has been doing all the right things this few year but nobody would think that it would actually be able to take on brands like Porsche. The Initial Quality Study looks like the problems that the vehicles have in the first 90 days of ownership. The average score right now is at 105pp100 (105 problems per 100) and the Kia Soul manage to score an 18pp100 scoring.
Of course, this does not mean that the Kia Soul is the better option in a long run.
Coming in second is Porsche with 84 pp100, followed by Hyundai, Toyota, and BMW. Automakers like Smart, Fiat and Volvo were the lowest ranked automakers in the list.
