It does feel like Takata and NHTSA have been trying to clean up the mess Takata with their faulty airbags and even after so many years of recalls, we still hear about new models getting recalled over the same issue.
Jaguar Land Rover has now issued a recall to recall back some of their models due to the faulty airbags. Among the vehicles affected includes the Jaguar XFs as well as the Land Rover Range Rover.
Models that will be affected by the recall will include the 2009 -2011 Jaguar XFs and the 2007 -2011 Land Rover Range Rover. Since there won’t be enough parts to fix all of the affected models at once, the vehicles sold in high humidity areas will be given a higher priority since they are more at risk of having a damaged airbags than those living in drier areas.
