The Apple iPhone 6 is not coming out until later on in the year but it has already been stealing the limelight. We have heard about many patents which have all pointed to something of a revolutionary iPhone this year. Recent reports have suggested that the handset could have a display of sapphire glass that would mean the display would be scratch free. We have also heard that the iPhone could have a power system that is self-adjusting and it may be launched in two screen sizes. So with all of this could it put the Samsung Galaxy S5 to shame?
The chief analyst at ESM China has predicted that the iPhone 6 could come with a weather monitor. Apple insider also spoke about a similar patent for a device that used sensors to monitor external conditions. Chang Xu said that the iPhone 6 could be able to track such as the temperature, humidity and pressure.
The source of the information is said to be from Apple. The person behind it works under the MEMS unit for the company. It has been said that the handset will no longer have to rely on the use of 3rd party apps. It could be able to track the conditions of the environment along with the owner of the phone.
Apple could include these sensors in the iPhone to compete with Samsung. They launched weather tracking in the Samsung Galaxy S4. We have also heard that the handset features could push the iPhone 6 into the lead.
It is rumoured that there could be a display of sapphire that is resistant to fingerprints as Apple made a deal with GT Advanced technologies to the tune of $500 million. It is said that the coating stops oil from the fingers of the owner getting on the touchscreen.
We have also heard about a new power management system through a recent patent filing that says the tech could track the habits of the user and then go on to adjust the battery life along with the performance of the handset.
Rumours also point to there being a remote control accessory thanks to another patent that revealed a camera remote on a smart device. This is said to be an accessory that connects to a smart device via a wireless link, either Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
At the moment Apple hasn’t confirmed the existence of the Apple iPhone 6 but rumours have it that they will launch two handsets with displays of 4.7 and 5.5 inches.
