Those who are waiting for the Apple iPhone 6 are in for some bad news. The highly anticipated smartphone appears to have suffered some manufacturing issues which will affect the device’s release date.
While the iPhone 6’s debut is still unknown to the world, fans are expecting it to be in September this year. This is if the iPhone 6 is to repeat that same release period from its predecessors.
In detail, the issue lies with the chassis for the 4.7” iPhone 6. It seems that the chassis produced has got cracks and blemishes which automatically failed to meet Apple’s standards. The company, Catcher, was responsible for the iPhone 6’s chassis but this won’t be the case any longer.
This is after the Cupertino-based company decided to take Catcher’s share and roll it to Foxconn and Jabil. The selection of the latter suggests that Apple is desperate to get the chassis done quickly. After all, Jabil doesn’t hold a large yield capacity.
On the bright side of things, the world is still not informed of the iPhone 6’s release date. However, Apple won’t be too happy about it as any delays will only give its Android rivals an extra period of dominance.
