We are a month through 2014 and the battle for this year’s phone of the year is already heating up. Apple fans in particular would be looking forward to meet and greet the next iPhone. However, none of them knew when that is going to happen.
Despite that fact, many believe that the highly anticipated iPhone 6 will debut on June 20th this year. While there isn’t any official announcement about it, that specific date seems likely.
For a start, fierce rival Samsung will be hastening the Galaxy S5’s release. Apple wouldn’t want to delay the iPhone 6 for so long or they will lose out on the market share. On the other hand, releasing it too soon might bring in a lot of problems, especially with the device’s supply.
With that in mind, it is safe to say that the iPhone will be coming either in late 2nd-quarter or early 3rd-quarter. Another factor to consider is the iPhone’s annual release pattern. Based on previous iPhone releases, it often occurred in June.
There is also the Worldwide Developers Conference going on June 20th and it would be the perfect setting to unveil something as big as the iPhone.
The iPhone 6 is heavily rumoured to have a sapphire screen, new mobile payment system and solar charging capabilities. Such exciting elements coming to the phone will surely get fans excited.
