A famous analyst has said that the release of the iPhone 6 will be a big deal when it arrives this year. He also said that Apple will be putting a higher price tag on the device than the one on the iPhone 5S.
He said that the next flagship handset to be released from Apple would outperform and said that the iPhone 6 could cost an additional $100 more, which would put it around $635.
Apple could release the 4.7 inch version of the iPhone 6 in the fall and this is consistent with reports and rumours from the past. Apple typically releases their iPhone in the fall but we have heard that it may be as early as May or June when we see the iPhone 6.
Hargreaves said that consumers of Apple are usually willing to spend more money to get an upgrade and larger device. The Apple iPhone 5S outsold the cheaper iPhone 5C.
Hargreaves said “While many observers have chided Apple for a ‘lack of innovation’ over the last two years, we do not expect a linear path to commercially successful new product categories.”
“Instead, Apple is likely to choose its opportunities and timing extraordinarily carefully and release new products or services only when it feels it has the best chance to succeed, which does not mean it is not innovative, just that it is not dumb.”
The analyst said that Apple will launch a 4.7 inch display iPhone 6 and no other display size.
“The external design will take numerous cues from the company’s mid-range iPhone 5c, as well as its seventh-generation iPod nano.”
“The new models are apparently a cross between the design of the iPhone 5c and the seventh-generation iPod nano. According to the source, the new, larger iPhone won’t be a replacement for the existing iPhone 5c, but will be akin to a higher-end model,” the report further reads.
